His Heart, Our Heart

‘For the Lord has chosen Zion; he has desired it for his dwelling place: “This is my resting place forever; here I will dwell, for I have desired it.” ‘ Psalm 132:13-14

Most of us probably know of the war going on in the Middle East, specifically Israel. Thousands of people are dying, children are being kidnapped, people lay in hiding while rockets and bombs fall around them. And for many it may seem that darkness has won. Even that God has forgotten them.

But He hasn’t. “Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me.” ‘ Isaiah 49:15

No matter how far Israel has gone in sin, He still loves them. And His love for them, the people He chose, is everlasting.

And Jesus is inviting us to join with Him in His heart for His people Israel. To be watchmen posted on the walls, who give ourselves no rest until the Lord comes back and reigns in Zion. To not be silent until her light shines out. (Isaiah 62).

To cry for what He cries for, to pray for what He prays for, to have a broken heart for what breaks His.

He loves Jerusalem. We love Him. And so we love what He loves. And we pray for what He prays for.

Lord, save your people.

Yesss, and I could spend the whole day listening to it if I could 😅

#2. What song’s have you been listening to lately?

Lots of Upperroom (Give Me Jesus, Move Your Heart, Pure, Eyes Locked on the King). Also Indie, like John Mark Pantana and Lizzy McAlpine. And Jess Ray songs.

#3 What is your favorite genre of music?

Indie, Folk, Pop

I don’t really listen to the radio

Spotify and YouTube

#9 Do you like making music? What software do you use for composing/creating music?

Yes I love writing songs!!! I use my piano and voice and use the Voice Memos app on my phone lol

#10 Are there songs that remind you of people you know?

Carried Away by Shawn Mendes reminds me to a friend of mine because he used to sing it a lot. And Rewrite the Starts reminds me of another friend. And whenever i listen to instrumental music I think about my sister because she loves instrumental ☺️

#11 Are there songs that make you think of a color?

Something in the Orange, (self explanatory haha) and just whenever I listen to instrumental it just makes me think of like the color of the sky lol

#12 Are there songs that evoke a particular emotion in you?

Yesss when I listen to christian songs, I’m just overwhelmed with awe and love for Jesus. And when I listen to hype songs, i get super happy and crazy lol… and sad songs make me sad :))

#13 What two genres of music are your least favorites?

Rock, and most Country loll

#14 What song (s) would make up the OST (original soundtrack) of your life?

Summer Photo Dump <3

This summer was amazing! So many incredible memories with incredible people 💕

I really saw the Lord move in a new way and felt His love like never before. I made a lot of new friendships I know will continue to grow as time passes. I had a lot of sweet conversations and so many fun times.

This summer will be unforgettable and I can’t wait to see what the Lord has in store for this next season. 💛

~What is the thing you look for most after summer ends?

Fall weather, chai latte, pumpkin decorating, Fall Retreat (with my youth group). Rainy days while reading inside. Soft music, candles, coffee and hot chocolate.

~What is an activity from the summer (that you can’t do in winter) that you will miss most?

Going to the pool, camp

~What is an activity in the winter (that you can’t do in summer) that you love to do most?

Snowmen, and snowball fights

Who Will You Follow?

We live in a generation that wants to be “woke”, aware of everything people say and do, a generation that, in short, wants to live offended.

But then we see Jesus, He was betrayed, disowned, mocked, basically He had every reason to be offended. But He still gave up everything for us. Dying on a cross all for love. Because He desires us.

He laid down His life for us. For people who spit in His face, who said terrible things about Him. This is the greatest love. (John 15:13)

So who are we going to be like? Are we going to be a generation living offended? A generation who lives complacent, dull, dry?

Or are we going to be like Jesus, who lived a life of complete servanthood, laid down, even unto death. Picking up our crosses and following Him. (Luke 9:23) Because He is so worth it.

“No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.” -John 15:15
